Sultry Seductress

Numbed to sin. Anesthetized to profanity.
Lured in and sucked in by her sweet words.
Charmed by the sultry seductress called Sin.

Invulnerable conscience. Dead moral sense.
A need to fit in;
A need to be “accepted” by a world glorifying Sin.

Created uniquely,
To be an individual,
But being lost in a crowd of Sin.

Wasting a good life away,
For a stint with Lady Sin
Who’s an unfaithful partner; luring others in while she’s with you.

In a topsy turvy world,
Where what’s wrong is right and what’s right is “uncool”,
Who could blame one for being caught up in her web of deceit.

But like a cheap prostitute,
She’s only in it for what she can get,
It ain’t about you, it’s all about her getting her way.

She promises of a better life, an easy way out, a break from reality
So she can get more people batting for her team
...After all the more the merrier, RIGHT?

BUT, like misery, sin loves company.
Sin will continue to exist as long as people continue to glorify and justify sin.
We aren’t perfect, but it doesn’t mean we should stop striving to be better people.

Word. Daily putting to death the sin that so easily entangles and reaching for the prize set before me...
